Matchbook announces WSOP pro team
Former TitanPoker pro Sam Trickett and two-time bracelet winner JP Kelly among the biggest names.
Exchange betting operator Matchbook has announced its 10-strong team of sponsored pros for this summer’s World Series of Poker (WSOP).
The team includes two WSOP bracelet winners, Matt Perrins and JP Kelly, with the latter already having made the final table in the first open event of this year’s series.
As reported by eGR earlier this month, former TitanPoker pro Sam Trickett will represent Matchbook during the series, as will high-stakes online cash game player Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates.
Matchbook marketing manager Josh Green said: “Although Matchbook doesn’t have a poker product we are striving to become the number one destination for all poker betting.”
The operator has several markets for bracelets, as well as for the US$1m One Drop charity tournament, with Green claiming “The volume and liquidity we are taking for these bets is unrivalled.”
After securing an Alderney licence earlier this year Matchbook is also now preparing to launch its content portal Matchbook Media. Due to go live tomorrow, it will feature video content and blogs from the aforementioned sponsored players.
