Matchbook trials revamped exchange
New beta product includes customisable layout and more detailed betslip
Matchbook has beta-launched a new version of its exchange, designed to offer customers more control over the site’s user interface.
The new product, now available on beta.matchbook.com, was made public last week after several months of private testing.
One of the main additions to the site is a customisable layout, which enables players to toggle the amount of markets they see and the levels of liquidity per event.
The less information the customer wants to see per event, the more events can be displayed on screen at one time.
“We tried a number of different layouts for how we displayed the various markets and prices, but even within Matchbook offices, we couldn’t decide on one that suited all our needs,” the firm said in a blog post.
“Rather than a single layout, we have instead built something much more flexible – with a single click, you now have the power to customise Matchbook’s layout, even changing on the fly to suit your needs.”
Another major addition is a new Trader Betslip, designed to offer customers a more comprehensive overview of their positions and offers in various markets.
“The betslip is one of the core features of the Matchbook betting exchange, so when the time came to redesign the platform, along with the general layout, the betslip was naturally one of the first areas we addressed,” the firm said.
“We have introduced a tabbed layout to give a broader view of each section as well as a few new tools to filter and view your bets in a more manageable way.”
Other additions include new displays on the percentage overround on a market and the amount of money matched.
The product upgrades are the first in a line of improvements expected in the coming months following Matchbook’s move to a new proprietary platform.
