Marathonbet reverts back to old design in website overhaul
Operator says changes will improve site performance, while new live betting features have also been added
Marathonbet has reverted back to the design features of its old UK sportsbook in a bid to improve performance and aid the integration of new features.
The operator revamped its UK-facing website earlier this year, but has now taken the decision to integrate features around event and market presentation from its old site.
The company said the “simple” A-Z navigation menu on the home page coupled with the market grouping within an event are intended to make it an “easy process” for a customer to find a particular bet.
The changes have resulted in the Panbet-serviced operator improving its live betting product, with its homepage now featuring a mix of live events and main pre-match events, which were previously separated.
This enables a customer to see the main live or pre-match events on the homepage, view prices, add a selection to the bet slip and place a bet without moving away from the page.
Speaking to EGR, Nick King, Panbet’s head of sportsbook said the remodelled website would evolve and encouraged users to provide feedback.
“The main consideration was the general performance of the site, which as a result of a now-unified core architecture, offers much better stability and improved load speed.
“Additionally, the site now offers several new features which have not been available on our UK website before, including live graphics, live statistics and pre-match statistics.
“The design will allow us to integrate new features in a more timely manner whilst retaining the ease of use of the website for bet placement, and the structural improvements will give customers a better experience overall.”
Last month, the operator leveraged its betting partnership with Manchester United to launch one of the first live casino products branded by a Premier League club.
