LVFH in US Digital Gaming partnership
Companies pair up to pursue "online gambling opportunities"
Canadian software developer Las Vegas From Home Entertainment (LVFH) has finalised a business development agreement with US Digital Gaming, the firm has announced.
The partnership is designed to allow the two businesses to “combine their strengths in pursuit of various online gambling opportunities in the US and abroad.” It is not yet clear how the deal relates to a “binding letter of intent” signed by LVFH in January this year, which signalled its intention to acquire “existing agreements for software development and online gaming”.
While LVFH did not name the firm from whom it was acquiring the assets, it was described as a US gaming company “in the business of developing online gaming opportunities with established casinos in the US”.
US Digital Gaming has previously been a strong advocate for intrastate regulation, with founder Richard Bronson helping Iowa senator Jeff Danielson draw up draft poker legislation in February 2012. However, the bill failed to pass through the state’s ‘funnel deadline’.
Having previously operated the Action Poker Network, LVFH has recently focused heavily on social casino, launching its Real Vegas Casino app on Facebook in March 2012. Since then the company has released the game on Android and Russian social network VK.com.
