Esports start-up Luckbox has appointed former Pinnacle compliance exec Frida Ericksson as its new director of operations.
Ericksson spent almost three years with Pinnacle in Curacao, starting out as a fraud prevention and compliance manager before becoming global payments processing manager in January 2018.
Luckbox is preparing to launch its cryptocurrency-supported esports betting platform in early 2019 and Ericksson will be responsible for the payments system and customer support strategy.

Ericksson, who started her egaming career at Betsson, said: “I was amazed by the enthusiasm I felt when having my initial conversations with Luckbox and I decided that this was a company I want to be a part of.
“Being part of building what I believe will be a world class esports betting platform sounds like an amazing adventure and opportunity.
“My role will be pretty broad and will involve several aspects of customer interactions: security, fraud, verifications, payments, customer support and tools for all these areas.
“My aim is to ensure a smooth payments and verification flow together with a world-class customer support,” she added.
Isle of Man-based Luckbox also recruited former Playtech poker product manager Aleksandar Dimitrov as head of sportsbook product at the start of November.
