Lottoland snaps up Yggdrasil Gaming slots deal
Supplier the first to integrate directly into the operator’s platform with its video slots content
Lottoland has struck a deal with Yggdrasil Gaming to integrate the supplier’s portfolio of video slots, expanding the operator’s non-lottery portfolio.
The agreement will see the Gibraltar-based operator integrate the supplier’s full suite of slots, as well as receive access to Yggdrasil’s in-game promotional and sharing tools.
“We’ve already got over 4.5 million customers worldwide and that number is growing rapidly,” Gavin Grimes, VP of gaming at Lottoland, said.
“I’m very confident that the launch of Yggdrasil’s content is going to accelerate that growth, making our offering even more attractive to new and existing players.”
The deal sees Yggdrasil become the first supplier to integrate directly into Lottoland’s platform, rather than via a third-party content aggregator.
Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO at Yggdrasil Gaming, said the deal with Lottoland was a clear sign that its efforts in Gibraltar are “bearing fruit”.
“Lottoland are one of the biggest success stories in gaming in the past few years and it’s a very proud moment for us to sign this deal,” said Elmqvist.
“We are two companies cut from the same cloth in that we want to shake things up in the industry, and we look forward to a long and successful relationship together.”
Speaking exclusively to EGR Intel, Lottoland chief exec Nigel Birrell revealed the operator had recently passed the €300m revenue run rate milestone, describing 2016 as a “landmark year” for the firm.
