LeoVegas integrates Playtech Open Platform
Mobile-focused operator adds a number of Playtech games to its desktop and mobile sites through platform integration deal
Mobile casino operator LeoVegas has signed a deal to integrate the Playtech Open Platform across its desktop and mobile products, in a move the software supplier described as a “key strategic win”.
The Playtech deal comes as the operator is making a concerted push into the UK market and marks the first time the full range of the supplier’s best of breed content will be available to the Malta-based operator’s in-house platform.
“Integrating the Playtech Open Platform further accelerates our momentum and adds great value to our consumer promise of always delivering the best gaming experience,” Johan Styren, CEO LeoVegas Gaming said.
LeoVegas first revealed plans for a multi-million pound UK launch back in January backed by a TV ad campaign and since then it has become its biggest growth market.
The firm is also planning on expanding into additional regulated markets, although its Styren would not be drawn on specific countries when speaking to eGaming Review.
LeoVegas will initially launch eight desktop and five mobile titles and is set to launch a number of additional Playtech-designed games in the coming weeks
The Playtech Open Platform (POP) gives LeoVegas access to 70 additional mobile games and Playtech plans to double this amount by H2 2015 as part of a major shift to mobile-first HTML5 development.
“LeoVegas is one of the most dynamic brands on the market today and this is a key strategic win for Playtech,” Steve Schrier, VP Sales, Playtech said.
“We have big plans for the platform and our content in 2015, particularly with our mobile-first, omni-channel approach and across expanding markets such as Scandinavia,” Schrier added.
