LeoVegas appoints new head of casino
Karolina Pelc will lead operator's development of casino vertical as firm undertakes major UK marketing push
LeoVegas has appointed former Bodog casino executive Karolina Pelc to the newly created role of head of casino, eGaming Review has learned.
Pelc, who was previously Betsafe’s head of casino and also worked in a number of roles at Bodog, will be based out of the company’s Malta headquarters.
The creation of the new role forms part of a wider growth strategy at LeoVegas, with the mobile-focused operator continuing to expand its casino offering while also embarking on a major UK marketing push.
“We are extremely happy to have Karolina in our team where she will help us to develop our casino product making sure LeoVegas continues to deliver the greatest gaming experience towards our customers,” Johan Styren, LeoVegas CEO, told eGR.
Pelc said she was excited to be joining the company, and will be leading the development of LeoVegas casino platform at a time of major expansion for the operator.
Earlier this month LeoVegas signed a deal to integrate the Playtech Open Platform across its mobile and desktop sites, while in March it signed up with Odobo to gain access to the games supplier’s Marketplace platform.
LeoVegas launched its first major television advertising campaign in the UK in February and said it had more campaigns planned for later this year with further regulated market expansion believed to be under consideration.
