LeoVegas targets sportsbook punters with new live casino product
Operator launches sports-themed blackjack table with a “native English-speaking dealer” to appeal to UK punters
LeoVegas has diversified its live casino portfolio by launching an interactive blackjack table offering players live sports streams and an internal chat function to communicate with other players.
The table will showcase live coverage of Champions League and Premier League football as well as domestic football in Spain, Germany and Sweden.
In future players will be able to stream the Olympics, Grand Slams, Super Bowl and the upcoming World Cup.
A statement by the operator said the platform would encourage customers to showcase their love of sports via live interactions with the croupier and other players.
“This is designed to increase the personalisation of gaming, creating tailored experiences for players,” a LeoVegas spokesperson said.
Casino director for the operator, Karolina Pelc told EGR the platform would help cross-sell sportsbook and casino players.
“It’s a male, native English-speaking dealer to appeal to the UK-based type of punter,” Pelc said.
Marketing manager, Meghna Khanna added: “Sports fans are incredibly diverse and we hope this interactive platform will give them a chance to enjoy games, give their views and win money in the process.”
The use of live sports streaming was trialled by Coral during the Cheltenham Festival last year, in what the operator termed an industry first, but EGR readers deemed it unlikely to catch on.
