LeoVegas signs up Mats Sundin for Canada push
Ice hockey legend joins Swedish operator as brand ambassador for Canadian free-to-play mobile site
LeoVegas has signed Swedish ice hockey legend Mats Sundin as a brand ambassador for its Canadian free-to-play site, LeoVegas.net.
Sundin is a multiple world champion, Olympic Gold Medallist and member of the Hockey Hall of Fame having played in the NHL for twenty years, from 1989 to 2009.
The former captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs is now tasked with strengthening the LeoVegas brand in Canada, starting with LeoVegas.net where players can try mobile games for free.
LeoVegas CEO Gustaf Hagman said: “We are happy to have succeeded in signing one of the world’s most famous hockey players through the ages.
“Our partnership with Mats will give us great opportunities and enhance the stature of LeoVegas in Canada.”
Sundin added: “My ties to Canada and passion for hockey will be a strength for LeoVegas’ venture here.
“Part of my proceeds from the partnership will go to Sundin Fellowship Foundation and I’m really looking forward to teaming up with LeoVegas- this will be a fun journey!”
Sundin signed a similar partnership deal to become an international ambassador for PokerStars back in 2008.
