LeoVegas recruits Kindred’s Sweden manager as new CMO
Stockholm-headquartered operator hires egaming veteran Dersim Sylwan to reinvigorate CMO role
LeoVegas has hired Kindred Group’s Sweden country manager Dersim Sylwan as its new chief marketing officer (CMO).
Sylwan spent more than six years at Kindred, rising through the ranks after starting out as Sweden country manager for the operator’s Maria Casino brand.
Sylwan, who has also worked in marketing for both bwin and Svenska Spel, will fill the CMO role which LeoVegas had previously decided to dissolve in October 2018.
He will begin in the new role on 1 January 2020 and will be based in Malta. LeoVegas marketing director Petra Blixt will continue as interim CMO until the end of this year.
LeoVegas CEO Gustaf Hagman said: “I feel that Dersim’s background and personality are a perfect fit for LeoVegas as we continue to focus on data-driven growth and sustainability.
“With his experience and capacity, Dersim will make a significant contribution to our growth going forward,” he added.

“It feels complete and I know we have the experience and strength to take us to next level and to keep on growing,” he added.
The operator is due to announce its Q2 results on 14 August.
