LeoVegas furthers Germany marketing push
Sportradar brokers partnership between Swedish operator and German Handball Bundesliga
LeoVegas has furthered its marketing push in Germany by partnering with the German Handball Bundesliga (HBL).
The Swedish operator has signed a multi-year deal that will see LeoVegas Sport branding appear across the HBL’s courtside LED boards, floor stickers and interview backboards.
The partnership also includes sponsorship of digital assets as well as the online Matchcenter powered by data company Sportradar, which helped broker the deal with the HBL.
Victor Fritzen, CFO of the Stockholm-listed firm told EGR that LeoVegas would look to Germany for its next marketing push, after encouraging progress following its launch in Denmark last year.
LeoVegas’ country manager for Germany, Tobias Scholz, said: “Germany is a really important growth market for us and we needed to evaluate how we are spending our marketing and activation budget.
“Speaking to the team at Sportradar, they were able to help guide us through federation and league options and then prioritise those options.
“Sportradar were able to develop a unique package that not only included a whole range of digital activation, but really creatively leveraged the HBL data and content solutions they have.”
