A round-up of the latest launches and deals in the egaming industry, including Odobo and EntwineTech
Software provider NYX Interactive is set to embark on push into the UK egaming market after acquiring remote and non-remote operating licences from the UK Gambling Commission.
“Both licenses were issued just weeks before passing of The UK Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Bill, putting NYX in a solid position to support the large amount of operators expected to apply for a UK license during the summer,” David Flynn, senior vice president of NYX Gaming Group, said.
The firm recently entered the regulated Danish market for the time after its NYX OGS platform passed the certification process.
US-based gaming developer MX Digital is entering the social casino market after signing a deal with convergence and marketing specialists Traffic Generation.
MX Digital had previously developed games exclusively for land-based casinos but is now eyeing the potentially lucrative social casino market by providing free-to-play versions of its current slots games.
The company’s current portfolio of slots games includes branded content featuring celebrities such as Hulk Hogan, David Hasselhoff and James Dean.
Online casino supplier Net Entertainment has announced the launch of its latest slots title on desktop and Touch mobile portfolio.
‘Lights’ is a 5X3 reel slots game based set in an Asian valley and features lantern-shaped symbols with fireflies swarming on every spin to create floating wilds.
“Rich graphics and animations make Lights one of our most enjoyable games to date and there’s huge potential for big wins once the fireflies arrive on the scene,” Simon Hammon, chief product officer at Net Entertainment, said.
Lottery and slots supplier Yggdrasil Gaming has bolstered its portfolio of games with the launch of its latest video slots title Fruitoids.
The five-reel, 25-payline slot features a space-age theme and has been released simultaneously on desktop and mobile.
“Fruitoids is the latest in a long line of high energy, innovative slot games from Yggdrasil and we have a queue of operators ready to take this across desktop and mobile,” Fredrik Elmqvist, chief executive of Yggdrasil Gaming, said.
“It’s been a great project to work on with every facet of the game designed and built in-house, even the logo font, which was inspired by Apple Computer’s 1977 logo giving it both a retro and a futuristic feel,” he added.
Egaming software provider EveryMatrix has announced the launch of six new sites during Q1 2014 including Dongcasino which targets customers from Asia living in Europe.
Dongcasino.com has optimised the supplier’s OddsMatrix sportsbook while other operators, including Reel Crazy and Slotobank, have launched using the GamMatrix gaming platform and casino content aggregator CasinoEngine.

Software provider EntwineTech has expanded its live dealer solution after extending the number of private tables available on an hourly rental basis.
“Private tablets allow progressive operators more freedom with regard to branding, and the ability to add that additional bit of razzmatazz and excitement to the baccarat game,” Ian Dunning, a spokesperson for EntwineTech, said.
“Already our partners plan to make the most of their new private tables by running game session hosted by famous celebrities and for those of us with an appreciation for beautiful women watch out for the planned sessions with some of the world’s prettiest models,” he added.
MGM-backed social games developer PlayStudios has expanded the rewards program of its flagship myVEGAS product outside of Las Vegas for the first time to two Mississippi-based casinos.
Players of the slots app will now be able to redeem virtual points for real-life rewards at MGM Resorts casinos including complimentary meals, rooms and show tickets.
Redeemable rewards had previously been limited to Las Vegas-based casinos owned by MGM but have now been extended to the Beau Rivage and Gold Strike in the Magnolia State.
Amaya Gaming Group has announced a licensing agreement with Cherry AB subsidiary PlayCherry to supply online casino games to its European gaming portals.
The deal will allow Euroslots.com, Cherrycasino.com and Spilleautomater.com players access to hundreds of titles on the Amaya Casino Gaming System platform.
