William Hill has renewed its partnership with the Mirror as sponsor of the newspaper’s Saturday football content across its print and digital platforms for the 2016/17 season.
The deal includes sponsored content within the regular Saturday Football print pull-out including punditry from former Leicester City player Robbie Savage.
The operator’s display ads will be included on the paper’s online site, and for the first time the bookmaker will create podcasts and video content for the Mirror online, as well as bespoke content and live blogs during football matches.
We’ve partnered up with the Mirror for several years now, as not only do they offer true media value in a very competitive market, but also understand our need to engage with their readers by supplying great odds and relevant insights to help enhance their sporting experience,” William Hill’s head of media, Matt Holmes, said.
Hills has also agreed a three-year deal to replace Barclays Bank as title sponsor of the Football Writers’ Association (FWA).
The bookmaker will support FWA events including the Footballer of the Year Dinner, its Tribute Night at The Savoy as well as its FWA live events.
The FWA and William Hill have been partners since 2013, producing weekly podcasts and will continue to do so as title sponsor.
“We’re delighted to become the new official sponsor of the Football Writers’ Association,” Alex O’Shaughnessy, chief marketing officer for William Hill, said. “We’ve built a strong working relationship with the FWA over the last few years and it’s great to be increasing our support for the Association.”

“Our players are always looking for new games and those produced by Realistic Games are proven performers on multiple channels,” Vera&John’s head of gaming, Victor Olinger, said.
“We’re looking forward to working with Realistic, who share our vision of high quality, mobile-focused games, and are confident their slots will do well,” added Olinger.
