A round-up of the latest launches and deals in the egaming industry including Comtrade Gaming and Betfair
Technology solutions provider Comtrade Gaming has sealed a deal with Net Entertainment to allow all Comtrade licensees access to the online casino supplier’s portfolio of games.
The deal will see Comtrade Gaming’s licensed operators provided with NetEnt’s mobile and flash casino titles through Comtrade’s iCore platform.
“This is a fantastic addition to our gaming platform. NetEnt content is respected the world over and they have been at the cutting edge of game design for many years,” Steven Valentine, director of interactive at Comtrade Gaming, said.
“The extreme level of attention to detail they show in their games fits well with our long-term vision for platform technology and will help us greatly as we expand our client base,” he added.
Sports information provider Sportradar has announced it has renewed its partnership with European football’s governing body UEFA for a further four years.
The deal will see Sportradar’s Security Services continue to provide UEFA with betting movement information to help the body in its fight against match-fixing.
“UEFA were one of our first partners and in the last eight years, they have constantly helped us refine our system and increase its effectiveness,” Sportradar CEO, Carsten Koerl, said.
“Today’s renewal, in front of some of the most important decision-makers in sport gathered here at Leaders, is a real statement of intent from UEFA and we are proud that they continue to see us as a powerful deterrent to those who would manipulate football results,” he added.
Betfair has rolled out a wide-ranging update to its flagship exchange app, the latest in a long line of recent upgrades to the operator’s mobile product portfolio.
Single sign-on has been added to the app for the first time with the introduction of casino and arcade tabs to the top of the screen, allowing customers to access their gaming accounts with one tap of the screen.
Users are prompted to seelct either of the apps or the mobile web version of the products, depending on whether or not the partner apps have been downloaded.
Betfair-owned TVG has launched its first real-money horserace wagering app optimized for the iPad, featuring handicapping information, a live racing feed, and alerts from more than 150 tracks worldwide.
The launch of TVG’s iPad app comes just months after it became the first online horserace betting operator in the US to go live with a real-money mobile wagering app.
The app is available to download for free in Apple’s App Store, and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod devices, and requires a TVG wagering account.
Golden Nugget has become the first online operator in New Jersey to launch IGT’s Pixies of the Forest slots game, taking the total number of games in its online casino portfolio past the 100 mark.
The online operator now boasts 101 online casino games, the largest number in the Garden State, with CaesarsCasino.com and BetfairCasino.com next on 80 and 64 respectively.
Pixies of the Forest, originally a land-based title, launched on GoldernNuggetCasino.com last week and became the most popular game on the site within just two days.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has given the green light for Betfair to store its online gaming servers at Caesars Casino in Atlantic City, following the closure of its land-based partner the Trump Plaza last month.
In its ruling the New Jersey regulator said Betfair could locate all equipment required to operate its BetfairCasino.com site in Caesars Casino for the next six months, with any additions to the contract submitted to the DGE for approval.
The data center sublicense agreement with Caesars Interactive does not change Betfair’s partnership with the Trump Plaza, with the online operator still using the Plaza’s interactive gaming permit, the DGE confirmed to eGR.
