Cherry acquires 49% of ComeOn for ?80m
Cherry AB has agreed a deal to acquire 49% of the shares in ComeOn Malta for ?80m, which will be paid for with cash and newly-issued shares.
The deal, announced on Monday, also includes an option for Cherry to buy the remaining 51% of the sports betting and casino operator in Q4 2016.
The acquisition will strengthen Cherry’s position in Scandinavian markets and provide “great opportunities for continued international expansion”, according to a statement from the two companies.
The firms also expect to benefit from a broader product and brand portfolio, economies of scale such as reduced costs for payment solutions and game suppliers, and more efficient marketing.
Lads ramps-up racing push with Dettori TV campaign
Ladbrokes is continuing its aggressive horseracing push with the release of two new TV adverts featuring its recently signed ambassador Frankie Dettori.
The adverts were broadcast for the first time last month and aim to highlight some of the operator’s horseracing offers such as Best Odds Guaranteed PLUS, which Ladbrokes said had already returned more than ?200,000 to punters since its launch.
Three-time champion flat jockey Dettori was brought on board last month to spearhead Ladbrokes’ marketing efforts as the Magic Sign looks to establish itself as the go to firm for horseracing punters.

Dafabet lands Celtic shirt sponsorship deal
Dafabet has secured a four-year agreement to be the main shirt sponsor of Celtic FC, starting with the 2016-17 season.
The Philippines-based bookmaker is already in the second year of a five-year deal as the Scottish club’s International Betting Partner.
“A year ago I said that no matter where in the world you are, you see Celtic shirts such is their tremendous support and fan following,” Dafabet’s head of marketing John Cruces said. “We’re talking about one of the most iconic and recognised shirts in football.”
Bet365 launches pre-race streaming service
Bet365 has launched a new horseracing product, which enables fans to size-up potential betting selections via a video stream for up to six minutes before the start of a race.
The ‘Going to Post’ betting service, developed by Racecourse Media Group (RMG), allows both mobile and desktop bet365 users with a minimum fund in their account to watch horses both in the parade ring and making their way down to the start.
The pictures, which are accompanied by audio insight from a racecourse commentator, will last up until one minute before the off. Users will then have an opportunity to place a bet with the operator in order to watch the race in full.
France Pari to launch DFS product
France Pari reported a 20% year-on-year rise in Q1 revenues as the operator prepares to launch its first B2B product in the French daily fantasy sports (DFS) market later this year.

The French DFS market which was recently sanctioned by the country’s regulator l’Autorit? de regulation des jeux en ligne (ARJEL).
France Pari is expected to add to its current fixed odds and pools betting portfolio with a new DFS offering later this year after establishing a new office in Lyon to create the product.
