Gamesys debut poker platform nears completion
US partner Tropicana reveals it will be first to go live with Gamesys debut online poker product in early 2014
UK operator Gamesys is set to launch its first online poker platform in early 2014, according to its US casino partner Tropicana Casino and Resort.
The partnership between Gamesys and Tropicana is preparing to launch with slots and casino in New Jersey when online gaming is due to go live on 26 November, have also teamed up to release an online poker product which Tropicana CEO Tony Rodio expects to take place in “early 2014″.
Rodio also told eGaming Review the poker platform would be targeted towards the more casual player.
“Our poker platform will be from Gamesys, but that will not be ready right at launch but it will be opening in early 2014. We will be the first to launch the Gamesys poker platform in the US,” Rodio said.
Betclic Everest targets increased market share with poker relaunch
Betclic Everest Group has announced a relaunch of its Everest Poker brand as the company looks to increase its market share in the French online poker market by 50% next year.
The French operator plans to achieve a top three position in the market after successfully completing its migration to the Playtech iPoker network which Betclic Everest CEO Isabelle Andres told eGaming Review had put the company in a strong position.
Betclic Everest has also launched what Andres called a “heavily invested” marketing campaign across all media channels including a three-month long TV advertising campaign which will receive “major investment”.
The relaunch will see a wave of new additions, including a sit-and-go feature and loyalty programme, and will coincide with the release of a new native Everest.fr and Betclic.fr mobile app which is currently awaiting approval from the regulatory body ARJEL.

Mr Green to expand female-focused casino
Swedish online casino operator Mr Green plans to expand its new female-targeted online casino into new markets along with the launch of a new mobile app following the launch of the product in English last week.
Garbo.com, which was first launched in Swedish last month, features a range of real-money and free-to-play casino games from software supplier Net Entertainment including slots, roulette and blackjack. Titles of the ‘female-friendly’ games include Disco Spins, Flowers and Mythic Maiden.
Following last week’s launch of the English language version, Mr Green founder Mikael Pawlo told eGaming Review he has plans to release the site in additional languages and increase the number of games on offer.
Dutch broadcaster plans casino TV channel
The Netherlands’ second largest broadcaster, SBS, is planning to launch a new casino television station aimed at the Netherlands’ female population.
SBS, whose three channels command roughly 40% of the Dutch market, is currently preparing a female-focused channel to complement its male version, Veronica, which it will then repurpose into a gambling channel once remote gaming is legalized as planned in January 2015.
The news comes after gambling station Call TV was taken off air in 2007 after the tightening of gaming rules. The channel, which was part-owned by SBS, generated 12m a year while the new channel is forecasted to generate up to 19m per annum.
Bet365 has added three slots title to its casino product. Cocktails & Diamonds, ELVIS: THE KING Lives and Hearts of Venice went live on 19 November as part of a promotion offering players 10% cashback on wagers.
