Operator expands beyond gaming for the first time ahead of Euro 2016
LeoVegas has launched its new Kambi-powered sports betting product as the operator makes its first major shift away from online casino.
LeoVegas Sport was rolled out across the UK, Sweden, Finland, Norway, the Netherlands and Canada from 13 May.
The firm says it has ambitions to make the sportsbook “the market’s fastest and most engaging mobile sports betting experience” and offer customers “seamless integration” between its existing casino products and the new sportsbook.
Available via LeoVegas’ mobile app and website, the operator also said that launching ahead of the UEFA Euro 2016 was a “significant achievement”.

BetVictor is to give away ?1m as part of an “ambitious and truly stand-out” Euro 2016 promotion it believes will set it apart from rivals in the battle for market share this summer.
‘The Million Pound Goal’ competition will see the winner receive the seven-figure sum for correctly predicting, or getting closest to predicting, the first goal scorer and time of first goal in the Euro 2016 final. More than one correct prediction will see the prize shared.
In a bid to acquire and retain customers in the lead-up to and during the tournament, punters will earn a prediction upon placing a qualifying bet of at least ?5 and for each five qualifying bets thereafter.

32Red bags Leeds United sponsorship deal as revenues surge 39%
32Red released an unscheduled trading update last week, reporting a 39% rise in like-for-like net gaming revenues for the first 19 weeks of the year, as well as a new shirt sponsorship deal with Leeds United.
The sponsorship agreement – which will start in the 2016-17 season and run for three years – will give 32Red access to “Leeds United’s global fan base and extensive brand visibility”, according to a statement from the operator.
“We are delighted to be working with Leeds United Football Club, a true giant of English football with an amazing and passionate fan-base,” Ed Ware, 32Red CEO, said.
Sportsbet signs ?30m NRL betting partnership deal
Sportsbet has announced a renewal of its current agreement with Australia’s National Rugby League (NRL) to remain the league’s official wagering partner until 2020.
The deal is valued at more than AU$60m (?30m), making it one of the most lucrative wagering sponsorships in Australian sport.
As part of the agreement, Sportsbet gets first rights to advertise with the official broadcasters, the Nine Network and Fox Sports, as well as key radio networks.
CrownBet’s DraftStars unveils debut marketing campaign
DraftStars kicks-off its first major marketing campaign this week as the operator looks to gain an early lead in the burgeoning Australian daily fantasy sports (DFS) market.
The new multi-channel campaign includes press, radio, digital and social, as well as a TV advert developed in partnership with creative agency Clemenger BBDO and media agency Twenty3 Group.
The DFS brand was launched earlier this year as part of a joint-venture between CrownBet and Fox Sports, which the operator’s CEO Matt Sanders said it would aim to leverage as part of its marketing strategy.
