Betsson clears final hurdle to acquire NetPlay
Operator moves to integrate UK brands through consolidation of firms’ London offices
Betsson cleared its final hurdle to acquire NetPlay TV last week after the £26.4m deal received approval from the UK High Court of Justice.
The court’s sanctioning of the deal was one of the final steps in the acquisition process and paves the way for Betsson to integrate NetPlay’s flagship Jackpot247, Supercasino and Vernons brands.
The offer became effective 31 March and followed by NetPlay’s removal from London Stock Exchange’s AIM market on 3 April.
NetPlay’s three flagship brands will be migrated onto the operator’s Techsson platform in 2019, while customer services, payment operations and CRM and VIP functions will all be centralised to Malta.
