Ladbrokes revamps mobile in-play with animations
Update sees new branding and features, including in-play animations, added to the operatorâs successful sportsbook app
Ladbrokes has updated its Mobenga sportsbook app to add new in-play betting features and bring it up to date with the operatorâs new âLadbrokes Lifeâ branding initiative.
The update, released late last week, has added animations and live scoreboards to its in-play football betting page in time for the football World Cup, which starts in just over three weeksâ time.
The animations are similar to those on the bet365 betting app and are divided into three individual screens displaying how much time is left in the game, live match statistics and a pitch screen which uses animations to give users updates on in-game incidents, such as attacks and free kicks.
Data for the animations is supplied by sports data providers RunningBall, a subsidiary of the Perform group, and Bet Radar.
A function that allows customers to have their password remembered has also been added to the app, while other minor bug fixes were carried out as well.
Branding relating to the operatorâs new âLadbrokes Lifeâ advertising campaign has been added to the app, including banners advertising £50 of free bets for those who register for an account in-app.
Ladbrokesâ mobile app features prominently in the new advertising campaign, launched last month, with the operator keen to drive traffic to a platform that continues to perform strongly.
For the first three months of 2014 mobile actives rose 32% year-on-year and mobile stakes have almost doubled in the same period.
