Ladbrokes releases iOS exchange app
New mobile app, released today, available in both iPhone and iPad-optimised versions
Ladbrokes has released a new iOS application for its exchange product, adding to the mobile and tablet-optimised mobile web versions it released in December last year.
The app, released today, allows users to bet on the Ladbrokes Exchange using existing Ladbrokes accounts while also enabling new users to sign up in-app.
Versions optimised for both iPhones and iPads have been released, with the iPad app having the extra functionality of live horse racing streams.
Push technology is used to continually update the prices on the exchange, and the rate at which prices are updated can be changed manually to between one and 30 seconds.
Ladbrokes Exchange, a collaboration between Ladbrokes and its exchange subsidiary Betdaq, was first released on desktop in November of last year as part of the bookmakerâs plan to diversify its product range and capture some of the market share held by Betfair.
At the time Ladbrokes estimated that around 30% of its customers used an exchange product, with the majority of those using Betfairâs flagship product.
