Ladbrokes adds virtual sports to mobile
Operator expands Inspired-provided virtual sports offering and launches new lotto app as mobile push continues
Ladbrokes has transitioned its virtual sports product onto mobile as the firm continues its omni-channel push across existing and new offerings.
The operatorâs virtual sports revenues have doubled since the Inspired-supplied Virtual Horses and Virtual Greyhounds were first rolled out on mobile in May, and now the rest of the virtual sports vertical will be available on mobile.
âI am pleased with the great customer response, it was important to add the Inspired Virtual content to our leading mobile platform, in preparation for our single digital desktop, tablet and mobile experience in July,” Andy Bagguley, Ladbrokesâ digital MD, said.
Steve Rogers, Inspiredâs SVP of virtual sports, said a rise in the number of users playing its games on mobile can help drive âsignificant incremental revenuesâ for clients like Ladbrokes.
Ladbrokes has also launched a new dedicated lottery iOS app, Ladbrokes Lotto. The app allows wagers on various lotteries including certain draws in Ireland, Spain and New York. The app also includes table game and slots content.
Mobile updates and launches have been coming thick and fast in recent months. Last month the firm updated its iOS casino app to include motion controlled games and in May it introduced cash-out functionality to mobile.
Ladbrokes expects to integrate its desktop and mobile offerings across a single mobile-first platform provided by Mobenga this summer.
