Kindred unveils new integrity team
Unibet integrity manager Maris Bonello to lead Kindred Group’s newly-formed player sustainability unit
Kindred Group has appointed Maris Bonello to lead its new player sustainability and integrity team as the operator continues its research into the future of responsible gambling.
Bonello has worked for Kindred-owned sportsbook Unibet since 2009 where she started as a fraud analyst before earning promotion to integrity analytics manager in 2015.
In her new role, Bonello will focus on consumer protection and data-based decision-making to facilitate sustainable gambling among its customers.

Ewout Keuleers, general counsel at Kindred Group said the firm was committed to improving its responsible gambling efforts.
“We want to base it on empirical research through further collaborations, but also through further understanding our own data in this area.
“We need to keep pushing this barrier to ensure our customers can enjoy gambling with us in a safe, secure and sustainable way.”
Kindred bolstered its responsible gambling strategy in January by launching an AdBlocker tool that prevents under 18s from being exposed to online gambling adverts.
The operator followed up on the initiative earlier in April by announcing a new partnership with gambling website blocking software, gamban.
