Kindred Group scoops four trophies at EGR M&I Virtual Awards
Stockholm-listed operator commended for casino, horseracing and bingo innovation as Mr Green is crowned brand of the year
Kindred Group enjoyed a stellar night at this year’s EGR Marketing and Innovation (M&I) Virtual Awards, emerging victorious in four separate categories.
The Stockholm-listed operator triumphed across the board as it was awarded gongs for innovation in bingo, innovation in horseracing and best sportsbook marketing campaign.

On Kindred’s proprietary horseracing product, judges said: “They have clearly done a lot of work to improve their horseracing product and the move onto their own platform has clearly produced results.
“The horseracing product they have built has a lot of complexity, but they have found a way to present it simply and to give bettors additional information.”
Kindred also won the casino innovation in responsible gambling category, a new award for the 2020 ceremony, which was held virtually on 30 July and presented by The Gadget Show host Ortis Deley.
Elsewhere, newly rebranded Kaizen Gaming – the corporate moniker for Stoiximan and Betano – sealed a hat-trick on the night.
The operator of Greek origin picked up awards for casino marketing campaign, socially responsible marketing campaign and casino innovation in responsible gambling, a new category for 2020.

William Hill’s Mr Green brand also had plenty to celebrate after scooping the headline award for brand of the year.
“Mr Green appears to have moved on positively since being acquired by William Hill,” said one judge. “What was already a major EU brand is growing. Good TV marketing campaigns aligned with social responsibility focus means this is a major brand of the future.”
PokerStars, Danske Spil and Rank Group’s Mecca Bingo brand all picked up two trophies.
