Kambi seals ATG sportsbook deal
Kambi-powered sportsbook to form part of Swedish horse racing operator’s portfolio from 2019
Kambi has finalised a deal with ATG to provide the Swedish horse racing operator with its multi-channel sportsbook and services.
The multi-year deal comes as Sweden prepares to adopt a new gambling framework on 1 January 2019, as ATG prepares to offer sports betting alongside its horse racing product for the first time.
Confirmation of the deal comes after Kambi announced earlier this month that the two companies were in final stage commercial discussions.
Kambi CEO Kristian Nylen said: “Since launching in 1974, ATG has become a leading brand within its home market Sweden and is a company which has, over time, built a vast and loyal customer base.
“As the operator prepares for its next phase of growth in a re-regulated Swedish market, Kambi is proud to have been chosen as ATG’s multi-channel sportsbook provider.
“We look forward to forming a strong partnership,” he added.
ATG will also offer a live casino product when the Swedish market re-regulates having agreed a content deal with Evolution Gaming earlier this week.
The former monopoly horseracing operator is expected to hold a powerful position in the upcoming market, with horseracing betting licences expected to come at a significant cost.
