Kambi appoints former Svenska Spel exec as new CPO
Mattias Eriksson promoted to newly-created position at the sportsbook supplier's Stockholm hub
Kambi has appointed Mattias Eriksson to the newly-created position of Chief Product Officer (CPO).
Eriksson will be tasked with driving the development of Kambi’s sportsbook as the company readies itself for the legalisation of online sports betting in the US market.
Eriksson will take the lead on product strategy, design and implementation and will report to deputy chief executive Erik Logdberg while based in Kambi’s Stockholm office.
The Swede spent a decade at monopoly operator Svenska Spel, including four years as director of business development and innovation before joining Kambi as UX head in 2017.

“Kambi already has a fantastic product but, even more importantly, it has the capabilities required to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing sports betting industry,” said Eriksson.
“As a lifelong follower of US sports, I’m particularly excited at the prospect of bringing Kambi’s know-how to American sports fans, and I’m confident we will have a product in place they will love as much as our customers around the rest of the world already do,” he added.
Logdberg said of the appointment: “I’m delighted to welcome Mattias as our new CPO.
“Mattias’ knowledge and expertise in creating and commercialising future-ready products will be invaluable as we continue to build our product organisation.”
Kambi recently agreed the long-term extension of its sportsbook provider deal with Kindred Group.
