Virtual sports supplier signs eighth Italian content deal
Inspired Gaming Group has expanded its presence in the Italian virtual sports market after signing its eighth deal in the country with Microgame Group.
The partnership will see Inspired supply its virtual sports products, which it claims accounts for 90% of the Italian virtual sports market, to the content provider’s B2B partners via its online, mobile and land-based platforms.
Commenting on the deal, Microgame general manager Marco Castaldo said partnering with Inspired would enable the firm to further establish its presence in the Italian market.
“Inspired is a safe bet when it comes to virtual sports as they are experienced in working with major operators all around the world in highly regulated markets,” he said. “By adding Inspired’s virtual sports to our existing portfolio, Microgame further strengthens its leadership position with the most complete online and land-based product offering in the Italian market.”
Microgame has become the eighth firm to launch Inspired’s product offering after it previously signed deals with SNAI, Sisal, Eurobet, Intralot, Gamenet, Cogetech and Lottomatica. Inspired’s managing director of virtual sports, Steve Rogers, described Microgame as “a perfect fit” for its technology and content.
Virtual sports was launched in Italy earlier this year at a time when the country’s egaming market continues to expand following the regulatory approval of online slots and fast-fold poker.
