IGT provides Double Down app to 15 more casinos
Deal takes number of land-based partnerships to provide casino app up to 24.
IGT has signed partnership agreements up with a further 15 regional land-based US casino partners to offer its DoubleDown Casino application on their websites, taking the total to 24 since the arrangement was introduced in August.
The 15 as yet unnamed casinos join the likes of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas, Jacobs Entertainment casinos and Casino Del Sol Resort in Arizona in entering a revenue sharing deal with IGT to host the Double Down Casino application “ one of the most popular of its kind on Facebook “ on their customer-facing websites.
The app provides players with freeplay poker, bingo, slots and additional casino-style games, including the full roster of Double Down’s games including Da Vinci Diamonds and Cleopatra slots, as well as multi-player poker. Other IGT slot games and a new bingo game will be added soon, the company said in a statement.
Robert Melendres, IGT executive vice president of emerging businesses, said of the news: “IGT is providing a unique and highly desired service to the casino community, with continuous innovation and proven results in the social gaming arena.
“The DoubleDown Casino is providing casinos with a solution that they can utilize today, having been made available to encourage and incent players to return to the casinos for even more exciting game play.”
IGT, which in June became one of the first companies to obtain an online poker licence in Nevada, acquired Double Down Interactive for up to US$500m in January.
Earlier this month the company announced it has partnered with several third-party game developers, including a multi-year agreement with High 5 Games (H5G), to expand its selection of online game content. The deal with H5G is an extension of an existing partnership which saw the developer’s Da Vinci Diamonds slot game launch on IGT’s Double Down Casino in June.
