HappyHour.io appoints LeoVegas commercial director as CMO
Online gaming funding firm hires Lauren Farrell to lead marketing efforts and onboards a new head of product
Seed funding and igaming accelerator platform HappyHour.io has appointed two senior level hires as it looks to continue its growth roadmap. The group has recruited Lauren Farrell and Kurt Farrugia to serve as chief marketing officer (CMO) and head of product, respectively. Farrell joins the firm from LeoVegas where she most recently served as commercial strategy director from October 2020 to February 2022. She had previously held marketing roles for LeoVegas brand Royal Panda, as well as spending time with bet365 and Mr Green in marketing positions in Malta. Farrugia joins Farrell in his role as head of product having most recently spent time with iGaming Group as a product manager. Posting on LinkedIn, Farrell said: “After a fantastic three years in LeoVegas Group I’m happy to announce that today I have started a new journey as chief marketing officer at HappyHour.io. “I’m excited to join such an innovative company and I look forward to launching a new and game-changing casino brand very soon,” she added. Speaking on his decision to leave iGaming Group, Farrugia said: “I will always cherish these years, the exciting projects and all the incredible people I’ve worked with. “There are too many to mention so I’ll just give you all a big thank you. Without you I really wouldn’t be the person that I am today,” he added. HappyHour.io boasts a portfolio consisting of six companies including Livespins, Flows and pay and play casino Kanuuna.
