GVC appoints Playtech's Liron Snir as CPO
Operator continues to build its management team following the creation of senior product role
GVC Holdings has appointed Playtech’s Liron Snir to the newly created role of chief product officer (CPO) as the operator continues to build its senior team following the recent acquisition of bwin.party.
Snir worked at Playtech for nearly nine years, most recently as VP of product strategy, and had previously been team leader of 888’s business intelligence division from 2000 until 2005.
In his new role at GVC Holdings, Snir will be responsible for overseeing product management and the overall user experience of the operator’s product portfolio, which now includes Sportingbet, bwin, partypoker and Foxy Bingo.
Chief executive Kenny Alexander said Snir was a strong addition to the operator’s senior ranks, with Snir’s arrival coming soon after the appointment of another Playtech veteran Shay Segev.
“Liron’s considerable expertise in online gaming, product development, product integration and platform assimilation will be an invaluable asset in ensuring growth follows the successful integration of GVC’s and bwin.party’s products, brands and operations,” Alexander said.
“This appointment reflects our commitment to delivering best of breed products and services to our growing client base.
“It is testament to the merits of the GVC and bwin.party merger that the enlarged company can attract and retain such talent and we continue to seek further key appointments,” he added.
In addition to the appointments of Snir and Segev, the operator also recently hired leisure and gaming analyst Nick Batram to the newly created role of head of investor relations and corporate strategy.
