GSN to launch 50 Cent Facebook blackjack
Social blackjack launch to be followed by Android and iOS versions.
Multimedia entertainment company Game Show Network (GSN) has launched a blackjack offering on Facebook, based around the persona of American rapper 50 Cent.
The game, launched through GSN’s interactive division GSN Digital, allows players to accumulate tokens and compete for a place on a leaderboard, as well as personalise their own avatars. 50 Cent blackjack will also feature bonus features, known as ‘boosts’, including the ‘Freestyle’ feature which allows players to split their hands without matching cards, and ‘I’m Killin’ it’, which tells players whether they will go bust on their next hand.
Following the Facebook launch, GSN will roll out the product on the Android and iOS platforms later this quarter.
Commenting on the deal, 50 Cent, who has released songs such as ‘In da Club’ and ’21 Questions’ said: “I am excited to partner with GSN Digital on this venture to create an unparalleled social gaming experience for my fans.”
50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, joins other famous egaming ambassadors such as former cricketer Shane Warne, captain of the 888Poker team; TV personality David Hasselhoff, who stars in an OpenBet slot released at ICE in January, and singer Robbie Williams, who is the face of Robbie Williams Poker, released earlier this year.
“50 Cent’s Blackjack is filled with fun twists and innovative features that is sure to provide hours of entertainment,” the rapper explained.
