Global Draw buys 700+ Sceptre machines post Playtech deal

Playtech, through subsidiary Videobet, has been trialling its Jupiter machine and content offer in the UK with operator Sceptre Leisure.
Today’s deal will see The Global Draw, which supplies more than 13,000 dual screen gaming machines to UK betting shops, take over existing operations as Sceptre Leisure disposes of its LBO division to focus on its core business.
The Global Draw will take on the operation of machines across an additional 200 shops including Corbetts, Mark Jarvis, Scotbet and S&D bookmakers who have signed two to four-year contracts for machine supply.
Sceptre national sales director David Kerr will move across to The Global Draw team and continue to manage his existing accounts.
In other land-based news today, Praesepe, the UK investment business formerly known as Aldgate Capital, has completed its acquisition of Beacon Entertainments, the company behind UK bingo clubs including Beacon Cricklewood, the biggest bingo club in the world, and the Showboat chain of 26 adult gaming centres.
