GIG signs Perform deal ahead of sportsbook platform launch
Operator also bolsters BI analytics platform with additional payments and business data
Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) has signed a deal to integrate Perform’s RunningBall sports data into the operator’s mobile sportsbook platform, to be launched ahead of the World Cup.
GIG Sports will offer operators in-house generated odds and data services, as well as a trading and risk management platform, BI and marketing.
GIG CEO Robin Reed said: “In GIG Sports we will use data to disrupt the world of sports betting.
“Perform Group is the market leader on sports data and the deal will enable us to deliver data-driven odds and services for our B2B clients with an efficiency that is unrivalled in sports betting today.”
As part of the deal, Perform has taken over a network of scouts in Norway from GIG to bolster the group’s sports data capabilities within the local market.
CEO for the Perform Group, Ross MacEacharn, said: “We are pleased to have entered into an agreement where RunningBall will be able to take advantage of GIG Sports´ extensive network in Norway.”
Elsewhere, the Malta-based operator has added a payments and financial insights feature to the BI analytics product that is available to users of its iGaming Cloud platform.
Both will enable operators to analyse market trends in the payments industry and business-critical data like customer behaviours.
