Geo-location firm Aristotle awarded Nevada licence
Verification technology supplier announces Aristocrat Technologies as first gambling sector client
Geo-location and player identification technology supplier Aristotle International has been awarded a licence to provide its services to online gambling companies in Nevada.
Under Nevada’s online poker laws, all players must be at least 21 years old and be physically located within the state’s border to place a bet. Several verification technology suppliers have already been licensed in the state, including Player Verify, Geocomply and CAMS.
Aristotle’s application to offer its Integrity verification solution to operators was unanimously approved by the state’s Gaming Commission. The company also announced online gaming supplier Aristocrat as its first client in the gambling sector, having previously offered its services to social networks, beverage alcohol, entertainment and financial services companies.
CEO and co-founder John Aristotle Phillips said the Integrity solution “pioneered the development of widely accepted compliance and age-verification technology for the commercial and government sectors”.
“Integrity is the most comprehensive and cost-effective tool for online age- and identity-verification,” he added. “We’ve tailored it to be available across multiple platforms to enable a safe venue for adults while mitigating risk and insuring compliance for operators.”
So far only one operator, Ferttita Interactive brand Ultimate Gaming, has gone live with a real-money poker site in Nevada. The company signed a internet and mobile geolocation, player age verification and payment processing deal with CAMS in January.
