Gaming Realms strikes new licensing deal with Hasbro
Supplier signs two-year contract with US entertainment giant to discover licensing opportunities outside of real-money gaming
Gaming Realms has sealed a two-year agency deal with entertainment giant Hasbro as it eyes revenue opportunities outside of real-money gaming and lottery.
The agreement grants Hasbro exclusive rights to act as an agent on behalf of Gaming Realms to identify and negotiate licensing opportunities for the supplier’s popular Slingo brand.
Hasbro already has an established market presence in land-based and online gambling via its Monopoly board game brand, including with Evolution Gaming’s live casino product.
The Rhode Island-headquartered entertainment specialist was founded in 1923 and has licensed well-known brands to companies including Electronic Arts, Ubisoft and Scientific Games.
Gaming Realms executive chairman Michael Buckley said: “We are extremely pleased to, once again, be working closely with Hasbro on what will be a key strategic partnership in the expansion of our Slingo brand.
“At Gaming Realms, our priority has always been to create innovative and engaging content for users and to increase its reach by expanding the offering across a variety of market sectors, and we believe this partnership will enable us to further develop this,” he added.
Gaming Realms reported a 90% increase in Q1 licensing revenue last month.
