Gaming Realms and 4ThePlayer.com join forces
Andrew Porter and Chris Ash start-up to use Gaming Realms platform to distribute titles across US
Slingo provider Gaming Realms has put pen to paper on a commercial partnership with developer 4ThePlayer.com.
Under the remit of the agreement, 4ThePlayer.com will integrate its content onto Gaming Realms’ platform for US distribution.
Via the third-party distribution agreement, 4ThePlayer.com and Gaming Realms expect to have integrated and released the first title by the end of November.
The pair anticipate the partnership will additionally deliver four to five games in the North American market in 2022 and beyond.
4ThePlayer.com was co-founded in 2018 by Andrew Porter and Chris Ash.
Ash had served as a non-executive director on the board of Gaming Realms but has retired from his position with immediate effect given the conflicts of interest that could arise.
Michael Buckley, Gaming Realms chair, thanked Ash for his time spent on the board of directors and laid out his future hopes for the partnership.
He said: “Chris joined the board back in 2019 and has provided valuable guidance and strategic advice to the executive management, which has helped to scale our licensing business.
“Given Chris is a significant shareholder of 4ThePlayer, it is right that he steps down from the board of Gaming Realms in line with our good corporate governance practice. On behalf of the company, I would like to thank Chris for the important contribution he has made to our success.
“At the same time, we are very excited to be adding a new revenue line to our business by building a selection of 4ThePlayer.com’s games into our platform. Their portfolio of games complements Gaming Realms’ own Slingo content, and their decision to partner with us highlights the strength of our distribution network in the US,” he added.
