GameAccount Network launches egaming platform
GameAccount Network has announced the launch of its new internet gaming platform.
GameAccount Network has announced the launch of its new internet gaming platform, with Rank Group on board as its first client.
Whilst GameAccount Network already provides gaming software to major egaming operators such as Sportingbet and Paddy Power, this represents the company’s first move into the platform provider space.
Dermot Smurfit, GameAccount Network chief operating officer (COO), told eGaming Review that the decision to launch the platform was provoked by major egaming operators voicing “a degree of dissatisfaction with pricing structures and requirements to take certain product categories, and a determined interest in seeking an alternative platform solution to the existing companies in the market”.
Smurfit called the new GameAccount Network solution, which has been in development for over eight years, a “product agnostic platform” which gives operators more control over which product offerings they wish to use, rather than the provider bundling them together.
Rank Interactive will rely on GameAccount Network’s Alderney-hosted software platform for all customer registration, payment processing and customer account management, with selected third party gaming software and payment-related products integrated onto the platform.
Rank will also become the first member of GameAccount’s new Spanish Network in early 2011, which will offer Spanish card, dice and tile games developed by GameAccount, as well as its portfolio of international person-to-person games such as backgammon and rummy.
Smurfit said he expected to reveal by the end of 2010 the names of a number of corporations who would be joining the platform.
The GameAccount COO however refused to confirm whether these new clients would be drawn from among Game Account’s existing customer base of more than 17 regulated gaming operators.
