Gambling.com Group poaches former Catena Media exec as strategy chief
CEO Charles Gillespie hails C-level appointment as affiliate secures services of Johannes Bergh
Gambling.com Group has hired former Catena Media COO Johannes Bergh as the group’s new chief strategy officer.
Bergh joins Gambling.com from his C-level role at affiliate rival Catena, where he served from January 2017 until July 2020.
The Swede oversaw global strategy and operations during his time at Catena with the company growing its annual revenue from €40m in 2016 to €103m in 2019 under his stewardship.
Prior to joining Catena, Bergh spent three years as CEO of management consultancy Rewir from 2014 to 2017 and served as chief brand officer at infrared technology company FLIR Systems from 2008 to 2014.
Bergh officially joined Gambling.com Group in August 2020 and is based in the Irish capital of Dublin. He reports into group CEO Charles Gillespie.
Speaking on Bergh’s appointment, Gillespie said: “The appointment of Johannes Bergh marks only the second time in 14 years we have brought on a new C-level officer to the group.
