FSB adds former Entain tech lead as global delivery director
Ken Paterson links up with sports betting supplier after spell with the New Lottery Company in bid for fourth licence
FSB has appointed former Entain technology lead Ken Paterson as its new global delivery director.
Paterson joins the sports betting and gaming supplier after a stint with the New Lottery Company, one of the firms that were bidding for the fourth National Lottery licence.
He joined the challenger brand in April 2020 as director of operations before becoming chief information officer in November 2021.
The fourth National Lottery licence was eventually awarded to Allwyn, despite legal challenges from the incumbent licence holder Camelot and its tech partner IGT.
Paterson also spent five years with Entain (then GVC) as chief enterprise architect from March 2013 until March 2018.
During his time with Entain, Paterson worked across the Latam-facing division of the business, as well as improving the tech infrastructure around the acquired Sportingbet brand.
As FSB global delivery director, Paterson will be responsible for managing the group’s technical procedures and infrastructures to execute delivery for its partners.
Speaking on his arrival, Paterson said: “My job now is to build on the vast experience I accrued at GVC and put technical procedures in place to make sure FSB continues to deliver for their rapidly increasing global client base. I’m hugely excited to get started.”
Dave McDowell, FSB CEO, added: “Ken is another outstanding hire into our growing, global technology team. As we continue to scale across multiple continents, it was clear we needed to recruit a major industry figure to enable us to continue to put delivery at the very top of our focus.”
