Fremantle in Hasbro agreement
Deal allows entertainment company's gaming division to develop slots based on Trivial Pursuit and Connect 4 board games.
The gaming division of FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) is set to begin developing online and mobile slots based on Hasbro board games following an agreement with the toy company.
Focusing on the UK and European markets, the deal allows Fremantle to develop games based on Trivial Pursuit and Connect 4, utilising the OpenBet and GTS platforms.
The agreement follows FME’s release of an X Factor slot last year in partnership with Ash Gaming, which then brought about an exclusive three-year partnership with Rank Interactive in December. The company also has branded slots for titles including video game Space Invaders and television show Britain’s Got Talent.
Hasbro has an existing licensing agreement with IGT to develop slots based on the its brands including Monopoly, Battleship, Transformers and Dungeons & Dragons, which was renewed for an additional two years in January.
FremantleMedia Enterprises head of gambling EMEA Simon Murphy (pictured) said of the Hasbro deal: “The new addition of the gaming brands to our portfolio further strengthens our position as one of the leading developers and distributors of branded gaming content.”
