Fortuna merges lottery and sports betting marketing
Zdenek Lang to take charge of combined marketing activities
Fortuna Entertainment Group (FEG) is to merge its lottery and sports betting marketing divisions to improve the efficiency of its marketing activities, the company has said in a statement.
The company is aiming to take advantage of the synergies between its lottery and sports betting operations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary, with the two areas of the business unified by February.
As a result of the restructure, Fortuna Loterie marketing director Lenka Janouchova will leave the company, and Vladan Crha, currently marketing director for sports betting, has been promoted to director of investor relations for the group. Zdenek Lang will take charge the divisions’ combined marketing operations.
Interim group CEO Wilf Walsh thanked Janouchova for her involvement in establishing the group’s lottery operations: “I thank Lenka for all we succeeded in during the last year in establishing the new lottery business. Owing to the integrated marketing communication the Loto brand knows about 75% of population now. I am sure Zdenek will follow up with the successful entrance of Fortuna into the Czech lottery market where we have gained significant market share in a mere six months.”
