Fortuna partners Playtech for Czech online casino launch

Fortuna has become the first operator to boast a multi-product offering in the newly-regulated Czech Republic market after partnering with Playtech to launch online casino.

The operator is now live with both sports betting and casino having recently launched selection of Playtech’s game content including the Age of the Gods™ portfolio, Gladiator and White King.

The launch comes after Fortuna was granted what it claims is the country’s first ever licence to operate ‘online technical games’ by the Czech Ministry of Finance.

David Vanek, general manager of Fortuna Czech Republic, said: “We are proud to be the first company in the Czech Republic to have met the demanding conditions defined by the new legislation and to be granted a licence as a result.

“Granting this licence means that Fortuna has become the first multi-product (sports and games) gaming company in the Czech market.

“Our new online casino and aggressive games expansion is crucial to growing the business and means the Fortuna product offering will be comparable to some of Europe’s largest operators.”

Last August, Fortuna signed a contract with Playtech to integrate the supplier’s omni-channel platform and seamless wallet technology.

The two companies have since worked closely together to launch in Romania and plan to expand into new markets including Poland and Slovakia.
