Former Playtech producer joins 4ThePlayer slots studio

Slots studio 4ThePlayer has appointed former Playtech game producer Geoff Scaplehorn as its new product director. Scaplehorn joins the start-up from Stride Gaming subsidiary Spacebar Media, where he most recently served as a product owner for proprietary games. Previously, Scaplehorn spent two years between 2018 and 2020 as game producer for FunFair Technologies, having held the same role at Playtech between July 2015 and July 2018. Scaplehorn rejoins several of his former colleagues at 4ThePlayer, having also served as a copywriter at Ash Gaming from 2012 to 2015. In his role of product director, Scaplehorn will oversee 4ThePlayer’s games catalogue, as well as serve on the senior management team. Speaking on his arrival, Scaplehorn said: “I am delighted to be part of the 4ThePlayer team. I am a big believer in the entertainment aspect of gaming and the innovation I have seen in 4ThePlayer’s games and their upcoming roadmap. “I am excited to get started and to bring my own experience in unique gambling features into the 4ThePlayer repertoire,” he added. He is a well-rounded industry expert who will undoubtedly assist us in creating more innovative and exciting titles.”
