Former NetEnt CFO joins SKS365
NetEnt and Red Tiger CFO Lara Falzon set for lead finance role at Italy-focused betting operator
SKS365 has confirmed the appointment of former NetEnt CFO Lara Falzon as its new chief financial officer. A veteran of both the finance sector and the gaming industry, Falzon worked in CFO roles at mobile gaming company King before spending two years as group CFO of Evoke Gaming. She later moved to Red Tiger in April 2018, before the company was acquired by NetEnt in 2019, where she transitioned to operational CFO of the overall business in February 2020. NetEnt would later be acquired by live casino giant Evolution in a £1.6bn deal leading to wholesale business changes and departures, most notably the exit of NetEnt CEO Therese Hillman. In her new role as CFO of SKS365, Falzon will report to group CEO Alexander Martin. Falzon takes over the CFO role from SKS365 chief people officer Brian Dean, who had been operating in a dual capacity following the departure of the previous CFO in January 2019. Speaking about the new hire, Martin said: “Lara brings a wealth of experience in M&A activity and leading financial operations across international markets combined with in-depth industry experience from working at various gaming companies. “Finance is a key function at SKS365 supporting actively our growth and profitability targets and I am delighted to have Lara leading our excellent finance team,” Martin added. SKS365 has been in a substantial period of transition over the last 12-18 months, with the business choosing to focus exclusively on the Italian market. The firm finished fifth in last month’s Italian online sports betting rankings, generating €19.1m in revenue during February, pushing bet365 out of the top five.
