FanDuel looks to live sports gains with Buzzer partnership
US sports betting market leader reportedly inks non-exclusive deal with streaming platform
FanDuel has reportedly agreed a non-exclusive deal with live sports streaming firm Buzzer to show live moments from US sports matches to bettors.
Financial terms of the deal are understood to have not been disclosed; however, the deal will see FanDuel’s existing betting odds integrated into Buzzer’s mobile app, with users receiving push notifications in the event of their bets being winners or losers.
As part of its commitment in the partnership, FanDuel will market and advertise Buzzer across its mobile app and social media channels.
The deal represents Buzzer’s first partnership with a US sportsbook operator, with Buzzer having existing content-led agreements with the NBA, WNBA, and PGA Tour.

In comments reported by SportsHandle, FanDuel chief marketing officer Mike Raffensperger welcomed the deal, highlighting how the sportsbook operator would deploy its latest asset.
“This partnership will provide customers with the ability to watch the outcome of a wager for an event that they might not have existing access to,” Raffensperger explained.
“The Buzzer offering is unique, and promoting FanDuel to fans on-the-go or who are seeking a bite-size portion of the game is a way FanDuel can diversify our live sports marketing portfolio.
“In terms of driving new customers, Buzzer will be actively targeting qualified users with FanDuel acquisition offers similar to an affiliate partner and prominently displaying FanDuel odds both on- and off-platform,” Raffensperger continued.
“We believe this innovation will help drive next-generation sports fans to our platform and that having more and more premium sports entities source FanDuel solidifies our brand as the go-to sportsbook,” he added.
Buzzer founder and CEO Bo Han echoed many of Raffensperger’s comments, citing the benefits to Buzzer’s burgeoning portfolio of sports league partnerships.
“Our partnership with FanDuel allows us to expand and enhance the user and fan experience on the platform, providing deeper personalization for our users, which ultimately drives increased tune-in to live sports,” Han said.
“Through this partnership, we are reaching a wider sports audience through FanDuel’s massive community, which further drives value and tune-in to our league partners,” he added.
