FanDuel said numberFire uses proprietary statistics to âmine for unprecedented insights that predict player and team performanceâ which is then published on its website.
NumberFireâs analytics and tools are also available to sports fans through subscriptions and media companies through licensing.
FanDuel said it would invest in growing numberFireâs pre-existing revenue streams before integrating its proprietary information into its own platform at a later date.
ânumberFireâs demonstrated ability to grow a business around sports data, engage their users, create compelling content and support the fantasy industry makes them an ideal complement to FanDuel,â said FanDuel CEO Nigel Eccles.
âItâs our intention to build a multiplatform sports entertainment company, and joining numberFire and FanDuel creates the opportunity to meaningfully grow both businesses while providing fantasy sports users the best tools around,â he added.
The news comes shortly after FanDuel announced it had acquired Scotland-based mobile app development company Kotikan for an undisclosed fee.
