Exclusive: Victor Chandler to launch in-play with Zukido

VICTOR CHANDLER (VC) is to launch an in-play running betting product ahead of the football World Cup this summer, EGRmagazine.com can reveal exclusively.

The product is designed by game developer and consulting business Zukido, which will provide the UK operator with a bespoke web front end integrated to VC’s back-end management system, as well as consulting.

The application will feature the live sports VC offers as well as real time odds, live text commentary, real time statistics and affiliate tools, and will be available on all of VC’s different language sites.

Victor Chandler operations director Paul Louis said: “In-running is not a new concept but the way we have done it is new, I think. In any World Cup year it’s very important that our product is competitive, but particularly this year with England having a great opportunity to be successful, and with a huge range of gaming markets taking an interest [in the Cup].”

Victor Chandler’s move follows that of rival UK bookmaker Ladbrokes, which re-launched its online sportsbook with an in-play focus this month, with plans to live stream over 30,000 sporting events on the site this year after spending over £3m on internet broadcast rights to a range of fixtures.

Other operators seeking to position themselves in sports betting ahead of the football World Cup this summer include French monopoly Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) which signed a four-year sponsorship deal with the French football federation ahead of the liberalisation of the French market this year; Irish sports TV channel Setanta Sports, which launched an online sportsbook with Chili Gaming; poker site Titan, which launched Titan Bet; and Scandinavian casino and poker operator Tell Gaming, which will launch an Odds Matrix sportsbook in March.

In other Zukido news this month, Zukido released four new mini-slot games available via Finsoft, Orbis and GTS game engines.
