Ex-Betfair exec launches compliance-led casino
Self-exclusion, reality checks and time out periods all included in new Omnia platform
Former director of gaming at Betfair Sam Hobcraft has announced the launch of a new compliance-led brand called Omnia Casino.
The mobile-first casino has been deliberately designed around responsible gaming and pledges to go “above and beyond” standard responsible gambling measures, both rewarding players and ensuring they always play responsibly.
The company said it offers “a more fun and personalised experience, with a strong focus on compliance.”
In addition, a loyalty scheme called ‘Omnia Coins’ has been launched which enables players to earn coins by playing any game, which can then be exchanged in the Omnia store to buy in-game features including free spins and win cash amounts of up to £5m.
A second development phase later this year will see the introduction of deposit limits, which players are required to set as soon as they register with the site.
The Omnia Casino operation was founded in December 2017 by a team senior gaming executives including Hobcraft, who was also previously managing director of casino at PokerStars.
Addressing the compliance-led nature of the casino platform, Sam Hobcraft, founder at Omnia Casino, said: “It is also about competitive advantage. We immediately present players with responsible gaming features because these players are more loyal. It is a casino where everything is as it should be and not hidden away, including withdrawals.
“We want Omnia to be a casino that you would recommend to your friends. There are no blockers, only open doors to fun, transparent and responsible play.”
