Evolution Gaming faces legal action over employee relocation
Live casino provider hit with judicial protest from seven employees
A group of seven Evolution Gaming employees have filed a judicial protest against the live casino provider, after their roles were scheduled to be relocated from Malta to Georgia.
According to the judicial protest, the Turkish-speaking employees were offered the option of moving to Georgia and earning a local wage which was “much less” than their current salary in Malta.
If they did not wish to relocate, they were “free to seek other work,” according to the document.
The employees argued this constituted “entirely abusive and illegal” behaviour and warned Evolution it would be responsible for damages if it continued with the plan.
Evolution declined to comment when contacted by EGR.
The provider’s live casino studio in Tbilisi Georgia, which opened earlier this year, offers easy access to Turkish-speaking staff.
Lawyers Joseph P. Bonello and David Bonello signed the judicial protest.
