EveryMatrix wins battle for Norsk Tipping platform deal
Supplier fends off 10 competitors to provide integration platform to Norwegian gaming monopoly’s online operation
EveryMatrix will provide its CasinoEngine platform to Norsk Tipping after the Norwegian monopoly yesterday awarded the supplier a minimum six-year contract, EGR Intel has learned.
Norsk Tipping selected EveryMatrix following a competitive tender which saw 10 other suppliers take part, a process which was kicked-started by the Norwegian government back in April.
The tender was for the provision of an ‘iGaming integration platform’ and Norsk Tipping will now be able to integrate content from the likes of IGT, NetEnt, Quickspin, Novomatic, Magnet Gaming and Scientific Games through a single EveryMatrix connection.
The deal, which will run for six years and has an option to extend on a two-year rolling basis, also sees EveryMatrix assume responsibility for operational services and content provider support.
Norsk Tipping estimated annual revenues would amount to between NOK400m (£37m) and NOK620m (£58m) per annum, with these split on a shared net revenue basis between the operator, EveryMatrix, content providers, and the provider of Norsk Tipping’s overarching platform upon which CasinoEngine will sit.
Norsk Tipping reported H1 2016 revenues of NOK249m (£23m) with a year-on-year growth of 25%, which should see full-year revenues exceed NOK500m (£46m).
When contacted by EGR Intel, Stian Hornsletten, EveryMatrix executive chairman, said he was pleased to have secured the deal, particularly due to the competitive nature of the process.
“Norsk Tipping will bring one of the best and most competitive product offerings to the Norwegian players,” Hornsletten said.
“That they have decided to outsource the igaming integration platform as well as operational services surrounding the operation and support of their gaming vendors is an excellent decision that allows them to swiftly and efficiently bring a competitive product to the market.
“Being a Norwegian, this is a big milestone and achievement for me personally, but also for the company due to the size of Norsk Tipping and the competition to win this tender.
“We have invested heavily in brand new software and platforms over the last two years. That Norsk Tipping have chosen our CasinoEngine clearly shows the hard work and effort we have dedicated is what the market is looking for,” he added.
Norsk Tipping said the platform would initially be used for casino games but would consider integrating bingo, skill, social and other game types during the duration of the contract.
